Director Thom Southerland kicks off his new season as artistic director of the Charing Cross Theatre with a return for his production of Titanic, which previously played at the Southwark Playhouse in 2013.
Winning awards from OffWestEnd.com, BroadwayWorld UK and Whatsonstage during its previous visit to London, Maury Yeston’s musical is based upon real life passengers aboard the RMS Titanic in its final hours afloat. Reprising their roles from the 2013 production are Scarlett Courtney, Matthew Crowe, Sion Lloyd, Shane McDaid, Philip Rham, Dudley Rogers, Victoria Serra and Judith Street. They are joined by David Bardsley, Alistair Barron, Helena Blackman, Scott Cripps, James Gant, Luke George, Douglas Hansell, Rob Houchen, Claire Machin, Jessica Paul, Peter Prentice and Dom Simpson.
As its preview run draws to a close, the press night is Monday, June 6. Titanic will continue (icebergs permitting) until August 6, to be followed by new productions of Radio Times, Ragtime and Death Takes a Holiday.
